Internal Quality Assessment

The quality standards applied at IPB refer to the quality standards set by the National Standards for Higher Education/ Standar Nasional Pendidikan Tinggi (SN DIkti) and the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education/ Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN PT), as well as additional standards applicable at regional and national levels. Quality standards in the implementation of SPMI at IPB are regulated through Rector Regulation No. 11/IT3/DT/2013 on Quality Standards in Internal Quality Assessment in Postgraduate Programs. The quality standards that have been set through this Rector’s Regulation are then used as a reference for policy makers to conduct internal quality assessment, as stated in the SPMI manual.  Education quality standards are regulated through Rector Regulation Number 3/IT3/PP/2018.

External Quality Assessment

External quality assessment is conducted either through the accreditation institution or survey to the alumni or employees. Prior to 2022, the accreditation of both Ba Physics and Ma  Biophysics was conducted through the National Accreditation Body for Higher Instruction (BAN-PT). Both program studies were accredited at A level. Following the new national regulations that the for Physics related program study accreditation must be conducted by the Formal Science and Science Accreditation Institutions/Lembaga Akreditasi Sains dan Ilmu Formal (LAMSAMA). With this new regulation, Ba Physics is now accredited as OUTSTANDING while Ma Biophysics is VERY GOOD
