Four students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) IPB University successfully obtained the international certification of Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) – Networking in early November. This certification was obtained through the Softskill and Character Development Grant Program in collaboration between the Department of Physics, FMIPA IPB and the Directorate of Student Affairs (Ditmawa) IPB University.
The series of activities packaged in the IT Training “Skills for All: Empowering IPB Students With Career Possibilities” consists of hybrid training, through the international institution platform Cisco Networking Academy, and is carried out from July 6 to October 30, 2024. This IT training consists of 4 main materials in the fields of Data Science, Cybersecurity, IoT, and Networking for prospective beginner professionals. Students who can complete all training themes will be able to take the Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Networking Certification international certification exam. In addition, this training activity can be converted into the Enrichment Course (EC) IPB303 Professional Development course.
The head of the event, Drs. His party as the implementer expressed gratitude for the support of all parties, starting from the instructors from the Physics Department’s lecturer team, student participants from various departments at IPB, to Certiport as the certification organizer.
Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni of FMIPA IPB, Dr. Akhmad Faqih said in the closing ceremony of the training (08/11) that the Dean of FMIPA thanked the Department of Physics for implementing the Ditmawa Softskill Grant activity well.
