Nature was here before technology. All of its systems are amazingly sophisticated constructions. Revealing the mechanism underlying biological systems is intriguing yet challenging. It requires an interdisciplinary approach to synchronize cumulative results from the different research areas. Dr. Erus is interested in applying lessons from physics, electronics, and engineering to invent tools for improving our understanding of complex biological systems. His research activities include developing a sensor or transducer that converts signals generated by biological objects into electrical signals that can be quantified. He is also interested in the internet of things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI). He obtained his Doctoral degree from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) Japan in CMOS imaging sensors for biomedical applications.
Research interest: Bioinstrumentation, biosensor, IoT
