Biophysics Division
The Biophysics Division is one of the divisions in the Physics Department of FMIPA IPB University. The Department of Physics has a mandate to develop biophysical science and research to support biomedical and agricultural fields in a broad sense. The Biophysics Division has carried out its mandate through various activities covering the fields of education, research and community service, and collaboration. Research themes in the biophysics division include: (1) biomedical materials, (2) bio-based materials, (4) membrane biophysics, (4) computational biophysics, (5) bioenergy, and (6) biophysical techniques.
Various achievements have been obtained by the biophysics division, especially in the field of research. Lecturer staff from the Biophysics Division succeeded in obtaining research funding from various sources and published their results in various scientific journals at home and abroad. Collaboration has been established by the biophysics division of IPB University with various domestic institutions, including: Department of Physics Universitas Indonesia, Department of Physics Universitas Gdjahmada, Department of Physics Airlangga University, Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Gdjahmada, Faculty of Medicine University Trisakti, Pharmacy School Institut Teknilogi Bandung, Physics Research Center BRIN, Biomaterials Research Center BRIN, Clean Technology BRIN, Post-Harvest Research Center The Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Research Center for Processing and Biotechnology. The Biophysics Division has also collaborated with various foreign institutions, including: Notthingham University (UK), Wageningen University (NL), Groningen University (NL), Kasetsart University (Thailand), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Uiniversiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Perlis Malaysia University (UMP).
