Dr. Agus Kartono completed his education at Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2006 and then focuses his research on computational physics. In general, physics problems are very difficult to solve precisely, this is due to several reasons (mathematics and complexity). Computational physics is a subject that deals with approximating the numerical solution to physics problems. The solution approximation is written as a simple mathematical operation (algorithm), and a computer is used to operate to calculate the approximate solution and its error. Computational physics was also the first application of modern computers in science and is now a part of computational science. Computational physics can be considered an intermediate branch between theoretical physics and experimental physics. This study field complements theory and experiment. He wrote a book titled “Fisika Komputasi” or Computational Physics in 2017.
