[10-11 May 2022] Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) IPB University held a Competency Improvement for Lecturers and Educators of the Physics Department at Leuweng Geledegan Ecolodge, 10-11/5. This activity is a series of events, namely division work meetings, information technology workshops, halal bi halal, intimate nights, and team building.

The working meeting of each division was opened by the division head. This working meeting discussed the division roadmap, the division’s activity plan for 2022, the lecturer’s activity plan in the 2022 division, and the lecturer’s collaboration plan with partners outside IPB University. On the sidelines of the discussion of the working meeting material, a relaxed discussion was also carried out considering that during the pandemic, offline discussions were very rarely conducted. In the evening, the halal bi halal event is carried out in a hybrid way. Lecturers and teaching staff at the Ecolodge attended offline and students and alumni attended online. 
 
Halal bi halal wisdom was conveyed by the Head of the Department of Islamic Economics at IPB University, Dr Asep Nurhalim. In his lecture, he conveyed that the good practices and habits that were carried out during the month of Ramadan should still be continued in the following months. In addition, he also appealed to remind each other in kindness in order to maintain ukhuwah Islamiyah, especially between lecturers and education staff at the Department of Physics. 
 
Head of the Physics Department, Prof Tony Ibnu Sumaryada in his speech stated that this activity is expected to strengthen the relationship between lecturers and education staff in the Physics Department. Thus, it is hoped that they can understand each other’s main duties and functions as well as possible which will ultimately improve the achievements and services of the Department of Physics to stakeholders. 
 
One of the participants, R. Esti Wahyuni, who is a member of the Department of Physics, stated that this kind of activity can refresh the mind and add new experiences. “Hopefully the close and close relationship between the lecturers and the education staff of the Physics Department will be further developed and provide good things in the future,” he said.
