Theoretical Physics Division
Theoretical physics division research activities focus on the phenomena in three different scales, namely microscopic, mesoscopic, and macroscopic scales based on both formal theory and computational approaches. For the microscopic scale, the foundation of quantum theory is the main research focus. We focus on molecular dynamics, condensed matter physics, nonlinear optics and complex systems for the mesoscopic scale. In contrast, research on astrophysics, such as stars and black-hole dynamics, and cosmology, such as the topic of accelerated universe and massive gravity theory, are the focus for the macroscopic scale. The division is equipped with a high-performance computing facility for mesoscopic scale research.
Our research results have been published in several leading physics journals such as Physical Review A, B, C, D, and E, Journal of Optical Society of America A and B, Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, etc. We welcome mutual research collaboration.
