Prof. Dr. Tony Ibnu Sumaryada is a Professor of Theoretical and Computational Physics at IPB University. His current active research is mostly in computational physics at mesoscopic scale, including molecular modeling, biosensors, renewable energy modeling (multijunction solar cells), Monte Carlo simulation. The exploration of the potential of various carbon nanostructures such as graphene oxide and fullerenes as a biosensor and spike glycoprotein inhibitor are some of his active research recently. Other researches include folding-unfolding mechanism of protein through molecular dynamics simulation and molecular interaction analysis of drug candidates through a docking simulation. Previous research experiences in the field of nuclear theory and astrophysics are occasionally carried out too.
