The increase in computing power in the last decade has boosted the role of computers in scientific research. Computational materials are currently used not only to elucidate experimental results but to guide material design according to the required specifications. Dr. Faozan is an assistant professor and head of the computational material design research group in the physics department of IPB University. His recent research interests include the design of (photo-)catalyst materials, solar cell materials, non-lithium battery electrode materials, and sensor materials.

Research Interests: computational material design, catalyst, energy material, theoretical biophysics
