Physics LabMD IPB study and conduct research in the computational field of Protein Physics. In protein physics, the mechanism of interaction of drug compounds with proteins that are the target of a particular disease, the effect of mutations in drug resistance, folding protein, the effect of pH and solvent on protein activity, and the effect of temperature and pressure on protein stability are studied. Dr. Setyanto applies classical (Newtonian) mechanics and statistical physics to understand more about Protein Physics. There are several computational methods to study proteins: single docking techniques, multistep virtual screening, ensemble docking, classic molecular dynamics (MD), Metadynamics, constant pH MD, Steered MD, and various free energy calculations. In addition to conducting research, He is also active in giving workshops, seminars, and active discussions in several research groups.
